In January 2008, the City of Escanaba mailed surveys to 1314 City of Escanaba residents seeking their input on the delivery of services, future development of the City and general community feelings and attitude. The overall response was 42.5 percent (559 completed surveys were returned). With the numbers of surveys returned, we expect the sample to accurately represent the opinions of the population of the City of Escanaba. The motivation for this study was to gather opinions of residents about the future direction of the City of Escanaba. The survey serves as a key component of the public participation portion of the Master Plan for the City of Escanaba.
