BICYCLE LICENSES

Bicycles can be registered at the front desk of the Public Safety Building, Monday through Friday, between 8am and 4pm. By registering your bicycle with Public Safety, your bicycle information will be kept on file. If your bicycle should be lost or stolen and then found, the license attached to your bicycle will direct who ever finds it to call the Escanaba Department of Public Safety. That way we can get your bicycle back to you.

To get a license, simply provide us with your contact information, serial number, the make and model, the size, and color of your bike. Once that is done, you will receive a license sticker to place on your bike. This service is free of charge to all residents of the City of Escanaba.

SECURITY
/ VACATION CHECKS

Are you going out of town? Before you go, call or stop by the Public Safety Building, Monday through Friday, between 8am and 4pm. That way, we can put your house into the system and we can keep an eye on your property while you are gone. All we need is;

* Your Name, address, and telephone number
* The dates you are going to be away (when to when)
* Descriptions of any vehicles that will be left in the driveway or garage
* Whether or not you are going to leave any lights on or if they will be on timers
* A name, address, and telephone number of someone who will have a key to your house
* A phone number where you can be reached while you are away

While you are away, Public Safety Officers will keep an extra watch around your house. All we ask is that you call us when you get back to town and let us know that everything is ok. To expedite the notification process, please complete the security / vacation check request form linked below.
