With saddened heart, the City of Escanaba reports the passing of City Council Member, Mayor Pro Tem Brady Nelson. In recognition for Brady Nelson's commitment to the City of Escanaba, its citizen’s, and his family, Mayor Leo Evans ordered all City facility flags be lowered to half staff, and to keep them lowered through Friday at 3:00 p.m. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brady and his family. Brady always looked out for the best interest of the City and the employees. He will be sorely missed.

City of Escanaba Billboard: The City of Escanaba has a billboard on South M35 near the Airport that is in need of refacing. We want to feature our waterfront and water access. To that end, a layout saying something like "Welcome to Escanaba" on the top with 3 columns with the headers "Play On It" with a picture of a recreational boat, "Play In It" with a picture of people playing at the beach and "Play Under It" with a picture of people diving the bay or something similar. This is all in concept planning now, but if you have any pictures that depict one of the categories and you would like it considered, please send it to citymanager@escanaba.org
