The Utility Office is responsible for preparing and mailing electric, water, sewer, and garbage bills for the City of Escanaba. They also assist residents and customers with the following:

  • Billing inquiries and outstanding balances
  • New customer account setup
  • Modifications to existing accounts
  • Shut offs due to non-payment
  • Issues related to high or low utility usage
  • Stopped meters
  • Payment plans and credit concerns
  • Move-ins and move-outs
  • Vouchers and vendor payments
  • Service calls
  • Meter reading

New customers are required to pay a minimum deposit of $400.00. Account transfers or connections incur fees ranging from $10.00 to $25.00, depending on the type of transfer. For a complete list of fees and charges, please refer to the City's utility rate ordinances linked below.
