The Utility Office is responsible for preparing and mailing electric, water, sewer, and garbage bills for the City of Escanaba. They also assist residents and customers with the following:
- Billing inquiries and outstanding balances
- New customer account setup
- Modifications to existing accounts
- Shut offs due to non-payment
- Issues related to high or low utility usage
- Stopped meters
- Payment plans and credit concerns
- Move-ins and move-outs
- Vouchers and vendor payments
- Service calls
- Meter reading
New customers are required to pay a minimum deposit of $400.00. Account transfers or connections incur fees ranging from $10.00 to $25.00, depending on the type of transfer. For a complete list of fees and charges, please refer to the City's utility rate ordinances linked below.
