Utility Billing & Payment Options Customers may pay utility bills, taxes, and other fees either in person or online. Online payments are processed through BS&A Online Payments and may be made using credit card, debit card, or electronic check (e-check). Accepted card types include Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express. There is no limit on the payment amount; however, a processing/convenience fee applies to each transaction. Credit and debit card payments are subject to a 2.8% fee, and electronic checks are charged a flat fee of $1.50. These fees are paid directly to the payment processor, not the City. Customers may also pay by credit card (fees apply), cash or check at City Hall. Payments can be placed in the drop box located on the west side of the building or mailed to the City. For those interested in automatic payments (ACH), the City offers a no-cost option to have payments withdrawn directly from a checking or savings account. Customers may enroll by visiting the utility window or by downloading the ACH authorization form below and submitting it via email to treasurer [at] escanaba.org (treasurer[at]escanaba[dot]org). Once the completed form is received, City staff will process the request. Payments will be scheduled for withdrawal 10 days prior to the bill due date. Customers will continue to receive a bill showing the amount due, or an email notification if enrolled in paperless billing. If you have questions, please contact the City’s Utility Department at 906-786-0552, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
