Marihuana Special Land Use Permit Application

Provided here is an application for a Special Land Use (SLU) Permit for marihuana establishments within the City of Escanaba. Proof of the applicant’s State pre-qualification must be submitted along with the SLU permit application. Incomplete applications and applications without State pre-qualification will not be accepted.

The SLU permit application will be reviewed by the City’s Planning & Zoning, Public Works, and Water/Wastewater Departments, and will then be brought to a Public Hearing before the City Planning Commission. If approved by the Planning Commission, a SLU permit will be issued.

Applications must be submitted at least 28 days before the intended Planning Commission meeting date. This gives us time to complete the review process and issue a Notice of Public Hearing for printing in the newspaper and for mailing to all property owners within 300 feet of the proposed establishment.

Please read the instructions carefully. Failure to submit a complete and accurate application may result in an automatic denial.
