Master Plan & Other Community Plans

The Planning Commission is responsible for developing and implementing the Master Plan. The Planning Commission Annual Report documents the progress made on Master Plan goals in the past year and establishes a work plan for the coming year. Every five years the Planning Commission is responsible for doing an in-depth review of the Master Plan to determine if any significant changes in the community would require either amendment to the existing plan, or the full-scale development of a new Master Plan. The current Master Plan was adopted in 2016.

Other sub-plans such as the Recreation Plan, Downtown Development Authority Plan, the Non-Motorized Pathway Plan, and the Northshore Redevelopment Plan focus on a specific area or community concern and serve to support and guide the Master Plan.
