  • Deposit yard waste at any authorized compost site in accordance with the rules and regulations promulgated by the city manager. 

  • Deposit leaves and grass clippings at curbside to be collected by the city during the months of October and November if such property is eligible to be served by regular city solid waste collection in accordance with the rules and regulations promulgated by the city manager; and/or

  • Compost yard waste on the lot where it originated in a manner not creating a nuisance.

  • Leave grass clippings on your lawn.

     

  • Haul grass clippings or yard waste to the City compost site.
    • Located next to the Delta County Landfill at 5701 19th Avenue North
DO Not...
  • Put grass clippings at the curb side.
    • They cause problems when washed into the City's storm sewer.
  • Put grass clippings or yard waste in the garbage or recycling carts.
    • Your garbage or recycling will NOT be picked up if the cart contains yard waste.
